Raise the roof!!
The trusses were placed and the front dormer was built this week. It's so exciting to see our vision start to come to light. The windows should be installed by the end of this week, our modern farmhouse is starting to take shape. Sam and I placed all the rain drains and conduit for the power this weekend.
Over much thought and discussion we made a decision on the front door. The door has been the most difficult thing to choose. It is such a focal point to a home and we wanted to make sure it supported our modern farmhouse design. We chose a local company called Rogue Valley, here is the door we decided. Ours will be made out of walnut. http://www.roguevalleydoor.com/products/1526

UPDATE
Everyone has been busy with the project. McHenry Remodeling will be
starting to put up new trusses this week. Sam and I have been busy with
the juggle of work, home projects while still trying to enjoy our
summer. In July we took a short trip to Las Vegas, we are usually lucky
when we go but not this time; highlight of the trip was seeing Lady
GaGa. This year was Sam's 30th birthday so I surprised him with a
weekend trip to the Oregon Caves and the Redwoods. Now we are back and
ready for more work on the homestead. Sam and I are working on building
the new pump house, which we hope to have built in the next few
weekends. Here are the most current photos of the project.....
